PREPERATION & PACKING

We recommend packing comfortable, breathable clothing suitable for warm temperatures during the day and cooler evenings. Lightweight and loose clothing, such as linen, is a great option. Bring shorts and long-sleeved linen shirts for versatility and comfort.
For activities, bring:
Lightweight, moisture-wicking activewear for outdoor activities and yoga sessions.
A pair of shorts for the bike ride and walking safari.
A light jacket or sweater for early mornings and evenings.
Comfortable walking shoes.

We recommend bringing the following items to make the most of your retreat experience:

Keep luggage light and practical—you won’t need anything fancy. We’ll be spending a lot of time in nature, so comfort is key!

We recommend soft-sided luggage or duffel bags that are easier to pack into safari vehicles.

Kenya uses the British-style plug (Type G) with 240V. Bring an adapter if your plugs differ. We also recommend bringing a power bank and an extension cord to keep your devices charged during travel and in shared accommodations.
DOCUMENTS & HEALTH

All participants need a valid passport with at least six months of validity beyond their travel dates. Most travellers will also need a visa for Kenya, which can be obtained online through the eVisa portal. Check with your local embassy for specific visa requirements.

We recommend consulting a travel health professional for up-to-date advice. Generally, the following vaccinations are advised for travel to Kenya:
Yellow Fever (may be required, depending on your country of origin)

Rabies (optional but recommended for those spending time in rural areas)
Additionally, a malaria prophylaxis may be recommended depending on your travel plans. Please consult your doctor well in advance of your departure.

Yes, all participants are required to have personal travel and health insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and personal liability. The organisers are not responsible for any medical expenses incurred during the retreat.

Yes. All participants will sign a liability waiver covering physical activity, wildlife exposure, and travel conditions.
SAFETY

Kenya is in a malaria-prone area, and it is recommended that participants take anti-malarial medication after consulting with their doctor. Mosquitoes are more common at dusk and dawn, so we recommend:
Wearing long sleeves and pants in the evenings
Using insect repellent with DEET
Sleeping under mosquito nets where provided

We will provide a local emergency contact for participants, and our team will be available to assist with any urgent matters. Make sure to have adequate travel insurance for medical emergencies.
TRANSPORTATION

Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation from the airport to the hotel in Nairobi on the first day. However, our team can assist with booking a reliable taxi or private transfer. On the final day, a car will transport the group from Naivasha to Nairobi. Participants can choose to be dropped off at the airport or in the city.

Once you arrive in Nairobi, all transportation between locations will be arranged by the retreat organizers. However, participants are responsible for booking their own flights and transportation from the airport to the hotel upon arrival in Nairobi.
MONEY & PAYMENT

The local currency in Kenya is the Kenyan Shilling (KES). While some places accept credit and debit cards, many smaller vendors and rural locations operate on a cash-only basis. The Sanctuary Farm, where we will be staying the last three days, accepts card payments.

Yes, it is recommended to carry some cash for personal expenses such as tips, snacks, or souvenirs. ATMs are available in major cities like Nairobi, but it’s best to withdraw cash in advance as rural areas may have limited banking facilities. A suggested amount would be $100–$200 USD (or equivalent in KES) for incidental expenses.

RETREAT ACTIVITIES

Yes! All participants will have the opportunity to join in all the activities selected for the retreat. However, if you prefer not to participate in a particular activity, you may chose not to.

No prior experience is required. Participants will have the opportunity to choose their preferred ride length and difficulty level, ranging from beginner-friendly rides to more advanced excursions.

Yes! All yoga classes are designed for all levels and are focused on relaxation, breath, and gentle movement.

Most activities are low to moderate intensity. You should be comfortable walking, stretching, and spending time outdoors.
FOOD & ACCOMODATION

All meals are vegetarian-friendly, prepared by our local chef with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. If you prefer, there will also be some meat options available. Please let us know in advance about any allergies or dietary restrictions so we can accommodate your needs.

No. Double rooms are reserved for guests traveling together, so we don’t pair solo travelers with others.
CONNECTIVITY

Wi-Fi will be available in some locations, but connectivity may be limited in remote areas. We recommend purchasing a local SIM card or ensuring your mobile provider offers an international roaming plan. Some providers such as Airalo offer eSIM options that can be activated before your trip for easier access.

The Maldives has a tropical climate year-round. We recommend light, breathable clothing - think linen, cotton, and swimwear.
Because Dhigurah is a local island, modest clothing is appreciated in public areas.
Bring:Swimwear for the beach and diving
Lightweight cover-ups (linen shirt, t-shirt, or shorts) for village walks

Flip-flops or sandals (you can often go barefoot — it’s a sandy island!)

Dhigurah is peaceful, friendly, and easy to navigate.
Our local partners and dive team are available throughout your stay to assist with any issues. -
Our team provides 24/7 on-island support. Dhigurah has access to nearby medical facilities, and emergency evacuation procedures are in place if required.
Please ensure your travel insurance includes medical evacuation coverage.
TRANSPORTATION

Fly into Velana International Airport (Malé, MLE).
We’ll arrange your speedboat transfer directly from Malé to Dhigurah. The journey takes about 2 hours and is included in your retreat package.
We’ll share detailed transfer instructions before departure. -
Yes - you can add extra nights on Dhigurah or at a nearby resort islands. Let us know if you have any questions.
MONEY & PAYMENT

The local currency is Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR), but USD is widely accepted.
Most cafés and dive shops take card payments, though cash is useful for tips and local shops. -
Yes, we recommend bringing around 100–150 USD in small bills for incidental expenses such as snacks, local cafés, or gratuities.

Yes. This retreat is open to all levels of divers and yogis.

Absolutely. The Snorkeling Package is the one you are looking for. Dhigurah has a stunning house reef that can be explored directly from the beach.
You will get to experience excursions such as nurse sharks, turtles, manta rays and more. -
A basic to moderate fitness level is enough.
If you’re comfortable swimming, stretching, and spending time on boats or in the sun, you’ll be perfectly fine. -

You’ll stay in a hotel on Dhigurah Island.
Rooms are air-conditioned with private bathrooms, balconies, and daily housekeeping.

Everything — the beach, yoga space, and dive center — is within walking distance. -
You’ll enjoy three daily meals, all freshly prepared and locally inspired:
Breakfast with tropical fruits, eggs, and fresh juice
